Joint camp is a preoperative educational session where you are given information regarding your joint condition and the surgery to take place, along with general instructions that will help you have a smooth surgery and recovery. The multidisciplinary Joint Camp team includes dedicated anesthetists, pharmacists, physical therapists, orthopedic nurse navigator, and home medical equipment technicians.
You will be informed about what you need to bring on the day of the surgery, clinic formalities that you would have to fulfill, what you can expect on the day of surgery, the recovery process, postoperative care, pain management, and rehabilitation exercises.
You are advised to attend joint camp with a family member or caretaker.
Location of Joint Camp: 4th Floor Conference Room, Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center
Time: Every Thursday from 10am to 12pm
